Job Title: Estimator

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

We are currently seeking a talented Estimator with a solid background in structural steel to join a leading construction organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is detail-oriented and has a passion for accurate project estimation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates for structural steel projects, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
• Review project specifications and drawings to understand scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for accurate estimating.
• Analyse and quantify materials, labour, and overhead costs to produce comprehensive estimates.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing information.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions and bid documents.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction sector, specifically in structural steel.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are preferred.
