Job Title: CAD Technician

Role Overview:
This position involves providing customer and sales support across all systems and products, with a primary focus on CAD-related tasks. The role requires technical expertise to create bespoke drawings and details, assist with as-built drawing packages, and compile O&M manuals. Additional responsibilities include contributing to specification writing, supporting the marketing team with technical content, staying updated on regulatory changes, managing third-party product inquiries, and offering on-site technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide customer and sales support for all systems and products.
• Utilize CAD to create custom drawings and details for as-built packages and O&M manuals.
• Assist in writing and approving bespoke roofing specifications in collaboration with the technical department.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and review technical content for various publications, articles, and marketing materials.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations and codes of practice, and report these updates to management.
• Manage third-party product and system inquiries through selected business partners.
• Offer on-site technical support to customers and the sales team.
• Respond to general technical inquiries from sales teams, contractors, and clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

Skills:

• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ideally, a solid technical understanding of commercial roofing systems.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Office and CAD software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within time constraints.
• Ability to manage pressure from a demanding sales environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good understanding of building regulations, construction, and design principles.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Qualifications:

• No specific qualifications required, but a HND or equivalent in a construction-related field is preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a construction-related role.
• Experience with CAD and construction-related tasks.
• Proven ability to work in a problem-solving environment.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Must be able to climb ladders and use access equipment on-site.
