My client, a leading town planning consultancy based in Bristol, is seeking a Town Planner to join their expanding team. Known for delivering high-quality, customer-focused development management services, my client is looking for a motivated and ambitious planning professional to contribute to their continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a Town Planner, you will:

Assist with Planning Applications:
Support the team in processing planning applications and producing detailed reports and recommendations.

Provide Planning Advice:
Offer professional advice on a range of planning matters, including development proposals and regulations.

Support Appeals:
Assist in preparing evidence for planning appeals and supporting clients through the appeal process.

Conduct Site Assessments:
Undertake site assessments to ensure that planning applications meet regulatory standards.

Collaborate with Clients:
Maintain clear communication with clients, providing professional advice and updates throughout the planning process.

Contribute to Team Success:
Work collaboratively within a dynamic team, ensuring high-quality results and helping to drive the overall success of the department.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

Hold a degree in a town planning discipline and ideally be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

Have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience in either the Local Authority or private sector.

Have a strong understanding of current planning legislation and regulations.

Be able to manage time efficiently and work on multiple projects at once.

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with clients and internal teams.

Be motivated, proactive, and eager to develop professionally in a fast-paced, growing environment.
