Company & Role:
In this role, you would complete the senior management team with a clear path for advancement.
As there is no Estimating Manager or Estimating Director above this position, it offers a unique opportunity to build and lead a team, with potential for promotion to Head of Estimating or even a directorship within the next 2-5 years.
Mnay self build developments in the pipeline. - (Ontop of this, they have a successful £40mil - £50mil turnover main contracting side to the business).
Duties:
Assess new tenders, checking for completeness and accuracy of information supplied.
Good knowledge of the Codes of Procedures for various methods of tendering.
Lead and prepare the complete commercial and pricing element of a tender or cost plan.
Marking up supplier and subcontractor enquiries to enable competitive quotations to be obtained.
Good knowledge of subcontractors and suppliers, and the ability to communicate with them to encourage quotation returns.
Manage commercial activities with a high degree of acumen.
Identify opportunities to add value throughout the project process.
Identify risks and input into project risk register.
Lead the supply chain enquiry process.
Produce a detailed control document at handover to delivery team.
Complete project take - offs
Ability to produce a full set of Preliminaries for the project in question.
Prepare whole life costing analysis
