Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Thurrock, Essex
Salary / Pay Rate: £250 - £300 P/D
Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Operations and Facilities Management Team . In this key role, you will conduct periodic site inspections of operational assets to ensure all facilities remain functional and safe . Responsibilities include carrying out both planned and responsive repairs , addressing minor mechanical, electrical, and building fabric defects , and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a hands-on maintenance role with knowledge of building construction
• Ability to carry out general repairs including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and lock replacements
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills to liaise with contractors, building managers, and consultants
• Ability to prioritise and plan workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using CAFM systems and maintaining accurate records
• A full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the borough

Desirable:

• Recognised engineering or building services vocational qualifications
• Knowledge of building regulations and statutory requirements in electrical, mechanical, and health & safety disciplines
