Our client, who specialise in steel erecting and architectural metalwork, are looking for an installations assistant to join their ever expanding team. Working alongside a skilled installer you will be expected to follow instruction ensuring you fully understand the task being given.

General Duties

• Understand and follow instruction from an installer, site supervisor or site manager
• Follow the Health and Safety Structure on site
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools (and preferably have your own)
• Assisting installer with labouring duties on site

Personal Attributes

• Have previous experience in a similar role although full training will be provided
• CSCS card (as a minimum to meet standard site rules)
• Interest in learning a new 'trade’ and development opportunities available
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
• Health and safety aware

Hours of work, pay and benefits

• 40 hours per week - overtime also available at a higher rate of pay (6am pick up)

• Due to the company payment structure individuals applying for this position could expect earnings between £24k-£30k rising to £30k-£38k following successful completion of a personal development programme. All rates are paid per hour inclusive of travel and the above workings are formulated based on a 40hr working week with 10hrs travel and could be subject to change.

General Information

The ideal candidate would need to live in the Hoddesdon area (or be able to get there easily) to travel with an installer to sites in and around London. Working hours are 8am to 4.30pm. Travel time (dependant location) would also be paid.
