Product Delivery Manager Rail

We are working with a firm who oversee high-speed and intercity services on the West Coast route, aiming to deliver integrated, low-carbon, high-speed train services. They are in the market for a Product Delivery Manager to join their team with project lifecycle experience within the Rail or Transport sectors.

Role Overview:

The Product Delivery Manager will manage assigned projects using company processes and tools to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs. This includes providing project management expertise for projects of varying value, complexity, and business criticality.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Manage projects using the company's delivery lifecycle, processes, and tools.

•    Plan project delivery, including resource allocation, to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.

•    Identify and manage stakeholders, including communication and working groups.

•    Contribute to the Annual Business Planning process.

•    Identify, mitigate, manage, and report on Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID).

•    Report periodically on project status and provide input for the Annual Review Checklist.

•    Manage change using the company's change control process.

•    Implement governance and assurance processes.

•    Identify areas for improvement using Lessons Learned and regular reviews.

Person Specification:

•    Knowledge of project management lifecycles, processes, tools, and best practices.

•    Experience in producing standard project management documentation.

•    Ability to manage multiple and complex stakeholders.

•    Competence in planning techniques and tools.

•    Understanding of risk and issue management, resource planning, and budget tracking.

Skills:

•    Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, and presentation skills.

•    Ability to deliver under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

•    Proficient in software tools like Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience:

•    Proven track record in delivering projects using structured methods.

•    Experience in the transport/rail industry is desirable.

Qualifications:

•    Relevant professional qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP).
