We are looking for an Internal Auditor to join a FTSE 100, Multinational Engineering firm as a Senior Internal Auditor. Paying £64k and based in Central London (2 days a week in the office), this role involves providing objective assurance and consultancy to enhance large-scale operations within the business by conducting thorough evaluations of existing internal financial, non-financial, and risk controls. This role will not involve any international travel, there will only be 20-30% of UK based travel.

The Role

• Identify business objectives, risks and evaluate key controls.
• Assist in the design and execution of operational audits to ensure adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment, compliance with Company policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Develop preliminary findings and realistic recommendations to improve / enhance the internal control environment.
• Prepare accurate, logical, and detailed workpapers clearly describing the work performed, test results and conclusions reached.
• Assist in testing the effectiveness of the Company's DoC control framework and work with management to ensure remediation

Your Profile

• You will need to possess a minimum of 3 years of internal audit experience.
• Applicants coming from practice but working within an internal audit function are welcome to apply.
• Prior experience with auditing contracts (Construction, engineering etc.) is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
