Salary: £28,000 - £40,000, Depending on Experience

A well-established planning consultancy is seeking a Town Planner to support its growing portfolio of large-scale residential and strategic development projects . With a strong reputation for delivering complex planning applications, environmental assessments, and sustainability-focused developments, they provide a dynamic and collaborative environment for professional growth.

This position offers the opportunity to work on major residential schemes , assisting in managing projects from inception to determination. The successful candidate will take responsibility for preparing planning applications, conducting research, and engaging with stakeholders to drive projects forward.

• Managing the preparation and submission of planning applications for large-scale residential projects
• Conducting research and preparing planning statements, environmental reports, and policy assessments
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, and technical consultants
• Assisting in negotiations on Section 106 agreements and planning conditions
• Providing strategic advice on planning policy, land promotion, and site development feasibility

• Three years of experience in a planning consultancy or local authority
• A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (Honours or Master's level)
• RTPI chartered status or actively working towards full membership
• Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy, and development processes
• Excellent report writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence is beneficial but not essential
