Building Surveyor- Plymouth / surrounding (home based) - c£60k

We’re working with a large, national residential property services provider who are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor / Project manager to oversee major works across an established residential portfolio in the Southwest.

With extensive planned, remedial and retro-fit works required, they now seek a highly accomplished Building Surveyor / Project Manager as follows:

• Professionally qualified - ideally accredited (MCIOB / MRICS or similar) but others considered.
• Based within the Southwest of England in order to visit sites as required (or keen to relocate in a reasonable timeframe).
• Broad experience spanning the full range of professional and project duties including defect diagnosis, project management, specifications/tenders, insurance reinstatement cost assessments, license for alteration, snagging, Section 20’s etc.
• Understanding of the H&S issues and regulations that apply to surveying, contractor management and project delivery.
• Commercially savvy and able to clearly articulate commercial performance with relevant parties.
• Experience and willingness to build relationships and to identify and drive improvement opportunities.

The suitable Building Surveyor will come from a stable career history, be prepared to travel across a South West England portfolio and have a thorough understanding of current and pipeline Health & Safety, Project Management and Surveying guidance/legislation.

Salary for the successful Building Surveyor / Project Manager will start at up to £53k basic + £4500 car allowance and benefits package.
