Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer- Midlands-based Local Authority – Up to £60 Umbrella

Location: Remote with monthly office attendance desirable but non-essential

Rate: Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently recruiting for a skilled Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a well-regarded Midlands-based Local Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, offering a remote working arrangement with only one day of office attendance per month to participate in the team day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement: Advising on and implementing the new Procurement Act.
• Commercial Contracts and Grants: Drafting and negotiating bespoke documentation tailored to the Council’s needs.
• ICT and Software Procurement: Providing comprehensive advice and support for technology-related contracts.
• Construction Contracts: Handling agreements under the JCT contract suite, including collateral warranties.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in handling procurement, commercial contracts, and construction-related legal matters.
• Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex agreements.
• Local Authority experience is essential for this role.
