Develop and deliver Employment and Skills plan working closely with local stakeholders, running regular events, social value initiatives and manage regular communications
Take ownership for the successful delivery of the Employment and Skills Plan
Lead on local outreach employment & skills work including engaging with schools, colleges, universities and the DWP, attending a variety of events including local careers fairs
Provide accurate and timely data reporting
Assist with the successful delivery of our pre-employment programmes, taking pride in supporting our apprentices and graduates
Build relationships with sub-contractors to encourage apprenticeship and vocational training placements within the supply chain, meeting them regularly to discuss targets and objectives
Be responsible for Departmental purchase orders
Develop content for communications and project updates
Promote company values and strategic objectives for creating a new community
Experience:
Experience working in a community-based role such as Social Value Advisor, Community Advisor or Employment & Skills Adviser
Strong skills in MS Office packages
Communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable planning and running a range of events
Self-motivated and passionate about social value
Flexibility to attend meetings and events outside of working hours on occasion
