Job Title: Site Engineer – Earthworks & Highways
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: £300 - £350 per day (CIS or LTD)

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and groundwork packages across the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the team on a large earthworks and highways package in the Stockton-on-Tees area.
Role Overview:
The successful Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site engineering operations on a fast-paced project, ensuring quality and accuracy across all setting out and surveying duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for highways, drainage, and bulk earthworks operations
*
Managing and interpreting technical drawings and site plans
*
Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring works meet specification and quality standards
*
Maintaining site records including as-builts, RFI logs, and QA documentation
*
Liaising with the project management team, local authorities, and the client
*
Ensuring works are completed in line with health and safety standards
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in similar civil engineering roles (earthworks & highways essential)
*
Proficient in using surveying equipment (e.g., Trimble, Leica, GPS)
*
CSCS Card (essential)
*
SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
*
Strong organisational and communication skills
*
Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities
Package:

Competitive daily rates: £300 - £350 (dependent on experience)
