Form-worker Apprenticeship - Level 2

What You'll Do: As a Form-worker, you'll be essential in shaping concrete structures. Your role will involve:

• Creating formwork and falsework casts/moulds for concrete elements like foundations, staircases, beams, columns, and walls.
• Reading and interpreting site drawings, instructions, and plans.
• Measuring, shaping, and cutting materials such as wood and metal.
• Building wooden structures using power and hand tools.

About the Apprenticeship:

• Duration: Typically 18 to 24 months, depending on your prior qualifications and experience.
• Support: If you don't have Level 1 English and Maths, we'll support you in achieving these during your apprenticeship.
• Earnings: Earn a steady income while you learn, avoiding student loans and tuition fees.

Your Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of planning and construction methods to build structures efficiently.
• Manage your own time and take ownership of allocated projects.
• Practice safe working techniques for handling formwork systems, including working at height.
• Assemble formwork for various applications, including walls, slabs, columns, beams, and precast units.

Location: Brackley (project wide)

What We're Looking For:

• Open to all candidates over 18; women, who are underrepresented in construction, are particularly encouraged to apply. All female applicants will be guaranteed an interview.
• Ability to use initiative and work independently.
• Effective teamwork skills.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to completing the apprenticeship.
• Ideally, you should have a driving license and access to a vehicle.
• A valid Green Labourers CSCS card.
