We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to provide reactive and planned maintenance as a part of the repairs team in Hackney.

The role is based on a static site, however, you may occasionally be asked to attend other local sites. You will be provided with a pool van in order to attend these sites, when on-call and for the collection of materials as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out reactive maintenance to the buildings fabric where you will get involved with changing/repairing taps, finding leaks and repairing/replacing pipes, easing and adjusting doors, adjusting door closers, lock changing, etc.
• Water temperature checks and daily plant room checks
• Painting and decorating
• General wear and tear maintenance (filling of holes/retouching, patch plastering)
• Changing lamps
• Replacing sockets

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points or a driving ban within the last 3 years)
• City & Guilds OR NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
• Basic DBS Check

• 25 days annual leave (including the ability to increase up to 30 days)
• On-call rota system (£75 per week standby and overtime paid at a minimum of 2 hours per call at either time and a half or double time if a Sunday or bank holiday, and a day off in lieu if you are on rota for a bank holiday).
