Job Summary
The Area Sales Engineer will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers and will play a key role in driving business growth within the CNC machinery sector. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs, market positioning, and industry challenges. The Sales Engineer will build and maintain strong customer relationships, attend industry events, and contribute to business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet sales and growth targets while delivering excellent service to both new and existing customers.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to promote products and services.
• Work closely with existing clients to anticipate changing needs and provide expert advice on suitable machinery options.
• Build and maintain strong communication with customers through regular calls, meetings, and documented reports.
• Represent the company at exhibitions and conferences, acting professionally at all times.
• Negotiate and close orders in line with agreed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Respond to and manage customer queries on both technical and commercial levels.
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve overall business success.
• Work within an established budget, ensuring careful financial planning and record-keeping.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in selling high-value equipment within a fast-paced, competitive environment.
• Understanding of the steel machining sector and its nuances.
• Ability to produce technical documents, including reports and quotations.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen, respond, and provide solutions proactively.
• Ability to balance client needs and expectations with business objectives.
• Previous experience or knowledge of capital equipment is desirable.
